In two ways. The UV-protective fabric shades your dog's coat from direct sun, and the breathable polyester mesh lets air circulate across the body instead of trapping heat. On very hot days you can also dampen it with cool water for added evaporative cooling.

No. It works as a lightweight, sun-protective layer when dry. Dampening is optional: wet it with cool water, wring it out so it's damp rather than dripping, and re-wet when it dries. The extra cooling from dampening works best in dry air and fades in very humid weather.

Sizing is based mainly on chest girth, the widest part of the ribcage just behind the front legs. Please check the size chart on the product page. If your dog is between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

It's a stretchy pullover. Slip the neck over your dog's head and guide the front legs through the armholes.

Yes. The ChillVest™ is a thin, close-fitting layer, so a collar or harness can be worn with it. The vest has no leash attachment of its own, so always clip your lead to a collar or harness.

Please follow the instructions on the care label, and let it dry fully before storing.

Orders are usually dispatched within 1 to 3 business days, and standard delivery is an estimated 7 to 14 business days after dispatch. Use it for walks, play and outings, then take it off indoors, especially if it's damp. Always supervise your dog while they wear it.
